Welcome to Meanderthal, my site for cycle touring in the UK and beyond.
This site documents my efforts of funding, planning and ultimately cycling around the world (or parts thereof), with all the mindless ramblings that go along with this.
At the end of August 2010 I set off from my home in London to see the world by bike, with a vague list of countries I wanted to pass through, and the hope to visit as many countries as possible before money runs out.
This trip has no sponsorship or fund raising agendas behind it, just the desire to achieve something for myself, and to see the world while doing it.
Some of the info on this site might be useful to others, some of it may have no use whatsoever, and some of it may simply amuse those who know better.
I’ve detailed in full the routes taken, the equipment used, and all my inane thoughts while on the road, updating the site as often as I can.
