Just like the Ortlieb Packer Plus panniers, I couldn’t believe how good these were – incredibly waterproof, and still practical to use.
Although on the large size, I bought the standard sized bar bag to carry my digital SLR in, which fit snuggly using the optional inserts that you can get. Although I was concerned, given the amount of rain on the first day, I never once had issues with moisture getting into the bag.
The great thing about this, is that they can easily be unclipped and carried around; with my wallet, passport and camera in the bag, this was the only thing I needed to unclip each and every time I stopped for a rest stop…
