The Bike

Before Spring 2010, all tours & rides were done on my trusty Specialized Allez – with all the eyelets needed for attaching racks and with a full Ultegra SL Groupset this was perfect for light touring.

For riding around the World however, something slightly heavier duty was needed. It’s taken a while to get the perfect components and to build it up, but the result is a virtually bombproof bike – a claim though that I’m reluctant to test out.

To Build A Bike

It’s taken a lot of research, trial and error and arguing, but the results have been positive so far. Mostly.
