Yep, the storm is here…!

First proper bit of rain- cold and wet, and pushing on through the last parts of Germany to Passau. Hopefully have somewhere warm and dry to stay tonight. Hopefully all this expensive waterproof clothing works. Oh, and we cooked and ate mosquitoes last night. ------------------

Viene la tormenta…

Today has been our penultimate day in Germany. Over the last three weeks, we've had amazing weather almost the entire time. This afternoon, I sit on the sandy banks of the danube and work on my tan for the last time. In a moment, I will clean my clothes, and wash myself.... The weather ...

On the road again…

The brief stop in Kempten is over now, and almost sadly its back on the road. This time we're headed East, along the Donau (Danube). Again, there's a slight anxiety about getting ahead of the cold, and making it to Turkey before the winter hits. With the route being fairly straightforward tho, we should hopefully ...

Things to do in Germany on a Sunday…

.... .... ..... ... .. .... Nope, nothing. Which also means we're having an Eagle special for dinner.... Again... ------------------

Time Out in Kempten

The Missing Link…

Broken Chain....

Last night came the mad dash into Stuttgart. As always, our timing and planning was impeccable, and we managed to ensure that we finished the day smack bang in the centre of one of Southern Germany's biggest cities. Not great, when you're trying to find a quiet patch of grass to pitch a tent, and ...

Out of the Rhine, into the water

I've realised, as I lie here in the thundering rain and howling wind, that I've never actually been in my tent during a lightning storm. Its a strange experience, and a somewhat unnerving one. Another excellent test of the tent's abilities; its shaking as much as it did when I was camped next to the ...

The Eagle Diaries

Today was a sad day. Jack has fallen from the fold and fled to the safety of Koln. I can honestly say I can't imagine there being a more entertaining week now until he returns in Japan! Keep a look out for an entire section on the site dedicated to "The Eagle Diaries", with ...
