Flowers will turn if you push lever

Another scorcher of a day yesterday, we left slightly later than planned and hit the flat roads leading out of Adana.

We ended up zipping along 100km to the foot of our last big mountain range, but struggling to find somewhere to camp again as the sun began to set. Using our helpless traveller routine, we ate dinner in a mountainside restaurant and managed to get a spot outside to camp.

Unfortunately last night was the first time on this trip I fell ill, and with stomach cramps and fevered dreams, I slept pretty badly.
I haven’t really been able to eat properly for about a day now, which doesn’t bode well for climbing the 1200 odd meters over this last mountain range to Kilis, before crossing into Syria….
