Exped Air Pillow

A wise man once told me that the key to a good night’s sleep was your pillow. And ok, while Ash might not technically be a wise man, this is still sound advice.
Have you ever had that feeling where you can’t get comfortable on your pillow, and you’re tossing and turning all night waking up with a stiff neck? Then why would you make do with jeans stuffed into a fleece!?
I’ve tried out a couple of different pillows – the first being the Sea to Summit Luxury Inflating Pillow. It was incredibly comfortable, and I had a good few nights on it. However, with the amount of rubbish I had in my panniers, I decided I had to get something smaller.
Although the Exped Air Pillow isn’t as much a pillow as the Sea to Summit, it still manages to be the most comfortable inflatable pillow I’ve used. It packs down nice and compactly, the drawback being should it ever get a leak, there won’t be much left of it.
It’s small enough to fit comfortably in the tent, and big enough so your head doesn’t feel like it’s rolling off. It’s also tapered and has different depths, so that you can flip it over any which way you want to make it fit your head in the most comfortable way.
I also picked up a Lifeventure Silk Pillow case before I left, which has meant the pillow hasn’t disintegrated into some horrible mess. Plus it was a complete lifesaver when sleeping in hotel rooms each night in India – definitely glad to have been able to put my face on that!
Ultra light and compact
